2- How to reach Eygalières ?
Eygalières is situated in the heart of the Alpilles, halfway between St Rémy de Provence and Cavaillon. Take Exit No 25 for Cavaillon on the A7 Motorway, (see map). For more detailed information and to calculate the distance of your journey, go to the website http://www.mappy.fr.


4- Must I book my place in advance?
We recommend you book your place, especially for the months of April, July and August, in order to guarantee your spot. To make your booking, please fill in the booking form, print it off, and return it to us by post together with your deposit.


6- Is the campsite close to the shops ?
The camping site is situated in the centre of the village. 100 metres from the camping site, you will find all sorts of shops, (bakery, butcher, general grocery store, greengrocers, newsagents, chemist, bank, post-office, doctors' surgery). The Provençal market day is on Friday mornings at Eygalières and on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at St Rémy de Provence.


7- Is the camping site open all year around ?
The campsite is open from 1st April to 31th October 2006.


8- What are the local festivities ?
Local fairs and festivities :
- St Laurent's feast day (local patron saint) on first or second Sunday of August. This village fête includes different activities and shows such as bull games, firework displays, a ball, entertaining shows, " boule " competitions, etc...
- Since 1222, there is a pilgrimage to the St Sixte Chapel every Easter Tuesday. This involves a procession in Provençal costume followed by mass in Provençal.


9- What is the weather like in the region ?
The climate in and around Eygalières and in Provence in general is Mediterranean in type : guaranteed sunshine for a large part of the year with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C in springtime, between 24°C and 35°C in summer and from 25°C to 10°C during the autumn season.
